Kristin A. Harclerode
Attorney
Kris was born and raised in Baltimore County, Maryland. She graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.S. in Biology in 1996. After graduation, she headed to Big Pine Key, Florida to work in outdoor education. After days in her swimsuit with her students, Kris decided to study for the LSATs at night in a tiny (but air-conditioned!) trailer and then apply to law school. The rest is history. In 2000, she graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law. She has spent the past 20 years practicing exclusively in the Estates and Trusts field and soaking up knowledge and experience from her favorite mentor, and mom, Judy Harclerode, at the firm of Moore, Carney, Ryan & Lattanzi, LLC.
In 2020, Kris established herself as a solo practitioner and created Harclerode Law, LLC. She is deeply grateful for the attorneys with whom she has had the privilege to work.
Kris still lives in Baltimore County with her husband and two sons. She spends her free time hiking, biking, traveling, enjoying the Maryland and Delaware beaches, and spending time with her family and friends.
Judith L. Harclerode
Attorney - Retired, Founder
Judy grew up in Cumberland, Maryland. She came to Baltimore to attend college at the University of Maryland/College Park with her high school sweetheart, Skip Harclerode. After graduating from college, Judy and Skip made things official and started the Harclerode family. In the midst of birthing and raising children, Judy decided to go to law school in the evenings. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1980, as one of the few women in the graduating class. She began working for Moore, Carney, Ryan & Lattanzi in 1983, and worked with the firm until her retirement in 2019. During her time with the firm, she found her passion in helping families plan for their future and navigate through the loss of a loved one. She leaves a legacy of hard work, wisdom, integrity, and most of all - a deep care for her clients.
Judy lives in Baltimore County and is quickly approaching 50 years of marriage to Skip. In addition to Kris, she has two grown sons who have followed in the footsteps of their dad as engineers. She enjoys birding, traveling, the beach, walks with the dog, and is slowly, but surely, leaning into retirement.
Dona M. Bush
Legal Assistant
Dona joined our team in Fall 2011 and has been an invaluable part of our practice ever since. Her kindness, compassion and humor make her a favorite with clients. We are blessed to have her be the first face to greet new clients. Along with her interpersonal strengths, she helps Kris with the everyday management of estate deadlines and scheduling.
Dona lives in Parkville with her husband and one of her three sons. Her two grown sons are close by and look forward to her weekly family meals! Dona has an incredible gift for crafting. She also enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.
